What Is Sara’s Circle?
Sara’s Circle is a mission-driven organization created to support people during major life transitions — whether that’s downsizing a home, clearing out a loved one’s space, or facing financial hardship during an already overwhelming time.
We provide free or discounted clean-out services, redistribute usable household goods, and connect community members with people and organizations who need support most. Our goal is simple: to reduce stress, prevent waste, and make sure no one walks through these moments alone.
Our Mission
Sara’s Circle exists to assist marginalized individuals and financially struggling families during major life transitions by providing compassionate clean-out services, redistributing essential household goods, and mobilizing community support through ethical, dignity-centered storytelling.
We believe that transitions — no matter how difficult — should be met with care, respect, and practical help.
HOW WE HELP
Helping Families Through Transitions
We offer free or discounted clean-out and support services to families facing financial hardship, loss, downsizing, or sudden life changes. Our focus is on reducing stress, handling logistics with care, and ensuring homes are cleared with dignity and respect.
This work is guided by a small, mission-driven team committed to ethical reuse, community care, and thoughtful decision-making.
You can learn more about the people behind this work on our Leadership page.
Giving Items a Second Life
Usable furniture and household items are assessed and redistributed through our community network or sold through our online consignment store. Proceeds help fund our mission and provide direct assistance to those in need — keeping usable goods out of landfills and in circulation.
Building Community Through Support
Sara’s Circle believes that community care includes visibility, connection, and shared support. If you — or someone you know — is navigating a difficult transition, doing meaningful work, or supporting others in quiet but important ways, we welcome the opportunity to help share that story.
Whether it’s a personal shout-out, an organization highlight, or a moment of recognition, we see storytelling as one more way to strengthen community ties and remind people they’re not alone.
